The keynote session, “Defining Student Success: Lessons from the Aspen Prize” will feature Josh Wyner as he share’s lessons from Aspen Prize-winning institutions about how high and improving levels of student success are achieved. Using concrete examples from the field, he will make the case for how colleges can substantially increase completion rates while at the same time strengthening the connection between student success in college and key post-completion outcomes.

KRSP II provides support for teams of KapCC faculty and professional staff to explore a learning outcomes assessment research project that attracts their interest. Project support includes assistance with planning the project, analyzing the data collected, and publishing and presenting the results, as well as a stipend. This is a great opportunity to take a deeper dive into an aspect of student learning that piques your curiosity.

Beginning in the Fall Semester of 2019, our students can work toward a new bachelor of applied science degree in applied business and information technology (ABIT) from the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College.
The curricula for this online degree emphasizes business and stresses the importance of using the skills and knowledge of information technology effectively. The ABIT program also includes an interdisciplinary focus on liberal arts courses in the humanities, social sciences, English, communication and mathematics.
