Kick off the New Year with some new ideas! Join colleagues for food, fellowship, engaging workshops and an enlightening panel discussion with our students. REFRESH ‘19! is offering extended 1.5 hour workshops this year to allow for hands-on, applied learning. Topics include accessibility, Laulima updates, building a community of learners online, Zoom, and sessions from DSSO. A special 1-hour panel discussion with our DE students will allow you to ask questions and hear the students’ perspectives on their online course experiences with Kapi‘olani CC. There’s something for everyone, so mark your calendar now:

LWOP Calendar and D55s for Hourly Deadline

Payroll has indicated a change in payroll deadline from Thursday, 1/3/19 to Wednesday, 1/2/19. As a result of this change, the Human Resources Department will be making its payroll run at 12:00 noon on Wednesday to insure this new deadline is met. Please do your best to get your LWOP calendars and D55s for Hourly in before then.

The Payroll message reads as follows:

“Due to the transition to the HawaiiPay system, we need to change the document deadline for the following:

LWOP Calendars and Hourly D55s/PNFs for the January 20, 2019 Paid Date

To:  Wednesday, January 2, 2019 @ 2:00pm

From:  Thursday, January 3, 2019 @ 11:00am

We apologize for the late notice and appreciate your assistance in this matter.

The 2019 Payroll Deadlines will be distributed and loaded to our website soon.”

This is the last call to please submit announcements to Joanne Whitaker (joannewh@hawaii.edu) by Monday, December 31, 2018. Please email your announcement as a pdf (landscape preferred). The announcements will be presented on a loop during the coffee time. After Convocation, the announcements will be posted several times on the News and Events bulletin.
