Our fundamentals of baking class will be having our first bake sale of the module this Thursday 2/3 from 12 to 12:30 pm in the Ka `Ikena Dining room.  Click on the link below for available items.  All items are limited in quantity so order quick before they’re gone!

A‘o Day Save the Date.

The Faculty Senate Student Learning Outcomes Assessment (“SLOA”) Committee is coordinating a virtual A’o Day scheduled for Friday, February 18, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The SLOA committee invites all faculty, staff, and administrators to share and discuss student learning, teaching, assessment, and support services that enhance our students’ overall experience at Kapi’olani Community College. Below is the tentative A’o day schedule. More details and a registration link will be provided in the next couple of weeks, but please save the date!

Island Savings Webinar – February 9, 2022

Prudential, will be conducting a webinar, “Understanding What the Island $avings Plan Can Do for You” on Wednesday, February 9th at 12:00 pm (HST).  This workshop will examine the different options to save for retirement to supplement your social security and ERS benefits and compare the benefits and features of the Island $avings Plan/457(b) and 403(b) programs.

🌍MKC/SOS Workshop: Make A Plan For Your Transfer To A 4-Year

Description: This workshop is for students who are thinking about transferring within the University of Hawai‘i (UH) system (UH Hilo, UH Mānoa, UH Maui College, UH West O‘ahu) as well as outside the UH system.

Participants will learn about the transfer process and engage in developing a transfer action plan to help them achieve transfer success. It’s never too early to plan for a successful transfer! Topics covered:

  • Transfer major and career direction
  • Transfer institution
  • Transfer preparation: coursework, GPA, experiences
  • For UH transfer: Ka‘ie‘ie and automatic admission programs
