For the first time at Hawai’i Book and Music Festival, Filipin@ writers! Please join us, Sun May 1 at 3pm, at the Honolulu Hale Civic Grounds (in the Makai Authors pavilion) for a panel moderated by KCC writing instructor Maiana Minahal.

Not Just Nurses, Caregivers, Beauty Queens: Filipina Writers Across Oceans and Generations in Hawai’i. For the first time at HBMF, a diverse panel of Filipina women writers and editors reflect on community, family, love, loss, and joy, from the Philippines to Honolulu and beyond.

A copy of First Folio! The Book that Gave Us Shakespeare is currently on display in Lama Library, 2nd Floor.

What you may have forgotten, since the announcement was made much earlier, is a series of First Folio! Friday presentations that will be presented in connection to Shakespeare’s exhibition, all happening at Kapi`olani CC, ʻŌhiʻa Building, 220 Grille.

Please join us TONIGHT for the next installment of the KCC Aloha ʻĀina Speaker Series on Thurs, April 28, 5:30pm in ʻŌhiʻa 118. The event is free and open to all.

Presenting on issues related to Hawaiian Independence & Governance will be Williamson Chang, Noelani Goodyear-Kaʻōpua, Willy Kauai, and KCC students from HWST 255: Intro to the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi.
