Soft Launch :: New Website

Aloha Faculty & Staff,

We soft-launched our new website on-time yesterday March 24th. We’re happy to say it went relatively smooth and initial feedback has been positive so far.

A big change like this is never without problems. We expected that there will be some missing sections or content, and we anticipated that there may be cases of updated content that didn’t make the transition the new site as we moved from section-to-section in development. Your kokua to help us identify problems can help us resolve these issues in a timely matter.

If you find problems (e.g., bad links, missing sections, outdated content, etc.) we suggest contacting your Program Coordinator or Vice Chancellor first as our team may already be addressing some of these issues with them. (We are looking at setting up a bug tracking page so that you can check to see if a request has already been made.) A lot of effort had been made to keep the new site as clean and simple as possible, so sometimes we sought the OK from Coordinators and Vice Chancellors to leave out sections/content from our old site.

Then proceed by submitting a ticket to our group. Please be as clear as possible. A lot of our time is spent trying to clarify what some of these tickets mean.

We recommend that you do not begin publishing your print or PDF material with URL links to the new site content just yet as some of our content may be altered on the coming weeks. Maybe in about 2 to 3 weeks the dust will settle and the URL permalinks will be safer bet.

Thank you so much for your help and patience during this transition. Working together, I’m certain we can make this site effective for everyone.

Aloha, — Raphael

The Testing Center will be unavailable for academic testing on April 3 because of heavy ATI-TEAS testing for nursing programs. We ask your kokua; please schedule your tests around this date.

For more information please contact Sunny Pai at sunyeen@hawaii.edu.

Thank you.
