Pickup Kapiʻolani Kīhei: August 17, 2022, 6:30-6:55am

At an Oli workshop in the fall semester, ʻAha Kalāualani will offer to silkscreen a Manu o Kū design on the front of your Kapiʻolani kīhei.

A kīhei is a traditional Hawaiian garment worn during Hawaiian protocol and ceremony. For Kapiʻolani, we wear the Kapiʻolani kīhei to unify our college in honoring the ʻāina we stand on and guide the way in which we speak and act.

There are protocols when wearing and maintaining a kīhei. The Kapiʻolani kīhei will be knotted on the left shoulder of the wearer. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Kapiʻolani kīhei should be neatly folded and stored in a bag or hung in an appropriate place for future use.

UH Pay Statements (Pre – HIP)

Due to the transition to the Hawaii Information Portal (HIP) in 2019 the UH Pay Stub Application (hawaii.edu/payroll/paystub/gate) will be retired effective December 31, 2022. The UH Pay Stub Application includes pay statements for pay dates November 3, 2000 to present.

What does the retirement of UH Pay Stub Application mean?

  • Employees will no longer have access to their pay statements for pay dates November 3, 2000 through December 20, 2018. Employees will only have access to pay statements that were issued in HIP (hihpsso.hip.hawaii.gov) from January 5, 2019 to present. Please note that pay statements prior to January 5, 2019 will not be available for printing once UH Pay Stub Application is retired.
  • If interested, from now until December 31, 2022, employees can download pay statements (via the UH Pay Stub Application hawaii.edu/payroll/paystub/gate) dated November 2000 through December 20, 2018. It is suggested by the UH Payroll Office to only download the last pay statement of the year instead of 24 pay statements per year.

For more information, please contact KapCC HR Department via email at kapcchr@hawaii.edu.
