Come visit our Creative Media Lab

The Board of Student Publications is proud to announce that our brand new Creative Media Lab is now open.

As a Board of Student Publications, we always find new ways to make students feel valued and important. We worked hard to approve and develop a new space on campus for students called the Creative Media Lab.

The goal and purpose of the Board of Student Publications, Creative Media Lab is to:

Provide students with the ability to use new technology and resources for their personal projects and growth, while reducing the common financial barriers. Our goal is to educate, discover, and to encourage new opportunities outside of the classroom.

We will provide the opportunity for you to be able to become competent in Illustrator and Photoshop and many other programs in the future.

Transfer Day and #findyourpassion Events Coming Soon

A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO STUDENTS:

Aloha Students! It’s the time in the semester to prepare for your next big move in your academic journey — transfer. March 1 is the deadline for Auto Admit, the process that transfers UHCC students to any of the four-year UH campuses (UH-Hilo, UH_West Oʻahu, and UH-Mānoa). March 1 is also the deadline to apply for the UH-Mānoa Kaieʻie Program, which is a dual enrollment transfer program.

Counselors and program faculty from across the University’s 10-campus system are ready to help you with your college transfer and career plans. To help in your efforts to make a college major and transfer decision, Kapiʻolani Community College is working hard to set students up for success.

On February 13 and 14, the Student Success Learn Team is having a #findyourpassion event, offering students a chance to explore career options and to talk with faculty and industry professionals for advice about college degrees and opportunities in the workplace. This is a chance to find or affirm your degree and career choices.

Specific to February 13th, counselors and program representatives from the University of Hawaiʻi’s 4-year institutions will be available to spotlight select programs and explain the transfer process. Visit this site for a schedule of workshops that will help explain the next steps to transfer to a 4-year UH institution: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1I3bf9PVrAgFq8797jMkbc5S0BmIP3GnLX95zgh-HXKU/edit#gid=1714482944

Although most events are scheduled in Lamakū on the second floor of Lama Library, other activities will be scattered throughout campus. Please check back for listings and updates. We look forward to seeing you on February 13 and 14!
