220 Grille Returns…Kinda…

Aloha Everyone,
We are happy to announce that 220 Grille is back for fall starting this week…sort of…
It’s going to be very, very, very different this semester. Please note the following changes due to logistical constraints resulting from covid-19:
  • No full menu, only one meal offering per day (see link below)
  • Pre-Orders via email only, you may order 24 hours in advance via email (no in person orders, no telephone orders)
  • Only 18 orders per day. The 1st 18 emails received will be accepted (so order early!)
Please email culinary@hawaii.edu to place an order. Again, to keep it fair, you may only order 1 day in advance. If you are one of the first 18 lucky emails to be accepted, we will respond to you to let you know and give further instructions regarding payment.
May the odds be ever in your favor!

A New Lens for Viewing Behavioral Challenges in Children

Have you ever found yourself wondering what to do about correcting a childʻs challenging behavior? Hear from Dr. Mona Delahooke, Ph.D, who will introduce a new approach to solving childrenʻs behavioral challenges. Dr. Delahooke is the guest presenter for the Kaiāulu Webinar: A New Lens for Viewing Behavioral Challenges in Children, on Tuesday, September 1, at 2:00 p.m. Simply register at http://go.hawaii.edu/ATp. (This webinar will not be recorded.)

Dr. Delahooke will describe behaviors as the tip of the iceberg, important signals that should be addressed by seeking to understand a childʻs individual differences in the overarching context of relational safety. She will also focus on building a childʻs foundation for emotional and behavioral control and moving beyond paradigms that focus on compliance and surface behaviors.

Mona M. Delahooke, Ph.D is a clinical child psychologist with a passion for supporting families and children. She has worked widely with multi-disciplinary teams in the area of developmental and emotional differences for over 30 years. She is a senior faculty member of the Profectum Foundation and is a trainer and consultant to schools, public/private agencies and parents. Her blog and new book, Beyond Behaviors, explores how to use neuroscience and compassion to better understand and solve childrenʻs behavioral challenges.

The Kaiāulu Webinars are presented by Extended Education at Kapi`olani Community College.
