Dress for Success sponsored by Staff Council and Employment Prep Center

It’s Spring – – – time to clean out your closets and drawers!

We all have items that looked great in the store but not so great once we got home. And, let’s face it, some things are never going to fit you again. It’s time to let go!

In conjunction with the Employment Prep Center, Staff Council is holding a clothing drive for the YWCA’s Dress for Success program. Donations of gently used professional and Hawaii business casual clothing for men and women can be dropped off in Kalia 101 (Arts & Sciences office) or Iliahi 231 (Employment Prep Center). All sizes are welcome and large sizes are always in high demand.

How does this clothing drive benefit KCC?
The Employment Prep Center refers our students to the Dress for Success program at the Y for assistance in finding that first job.

And what are we looking for?
Blouses, collared shirts, aloha shirts, closed toe shoes, blazers, cardigans, suits, conservative jewelry, scarfs, pants, skirts, dresses, new undergarments, handbags, briefcases, unused cosmetics.

The Dress for Success clothing drive will be Monday, March 4th, through Friday, March 15th.

Thanks!

Missing piano bench

During the International Festival, it was noticed that the piano bench that matches the piano in the cafeteria has gone missing.  The piano is very lonely without its friend.

If anyone sees the missing piano bench wandering around campus, would they please ask it to return to the cafeteria?

And if someone has perhaps borrowed the piano bench for a bit, would they please bring it back?

Thank you so much.
