Good Afternoon:
On August 25, 2020, Mayor Kirk Caldwell reinstituted the City and County of Honolulu’s reinstitute “Stay at Home, Work from Home” order. This new order began on August 27th and ends on September 9th. To help in effectuating this new order, the UH President and the Vice President of Community Colleges have asked campuses to reduce our presence on campus by only continuing face-to-face classes and services when there is no other option available. This email summarizes changes to campus operations from August 31, 2020, to September 9, 2020.
Campus Sign-In/Out and LumiSight App Check-In
Although we are not going back fully to what the campus “shutdown” was like from April to June of this year, for safety purposes we are asking employees on campus to sign-in and sign-out on the Google Form. The form can be accessed here: http://bit.ly/kapcc-check-in
In addition, under our Return to Campus Guidelines, we are asking both employees and students to check-in with the LumiSight UH mobile and web application each day. As discussed in the guidelines the mobile app can be downloaded to your phone/tablet through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Parking and Gate Opening Information:
Campus hours will be 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM
-Lot A: The gate to Lot A will be open from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. After 5:30 PM you may exit through the fire lane that runs parallel to Makapuu Ave and out through the main campus entrance. The fire lane gate will be closed at 9:30 PM M-F.
-Lot B: Lot B will remain open, but only three parking lanes will be available for parking.
-Lot C: As it is currently, the chapel entrance to Lot C will remain closed. The entrance to Lot C, located on the Koko Head side of the lot, will be open from 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM.
-Lot D: As it is currently, Lot D will remain closed.
-Lot E: Lot E will be open from 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM.
Food on Campus:
The Subway will be closed through September 9, 2020.
During the period, the Campus Bookstore will be reducing hours from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM M-F, except holidays. For safety purposes, the doors will be locked and you will be required to make an appointment to pick up orders or shop (counter service only) by clicking on this link Pickup Appts.

Facilities Use and Room Changes:
As of right now and during the “Stay at Home” order, only regularly scheduled classrooms and labs that will be used for face to face instruction are on the AC schedule. If you have any class schedule changes or will be in your office and would like to request AC, please do so via Facility Use Request form. Please note that you must use the form that is formatted for a digital e-signature via Adobe Acrobat.

Admin Services Office:
The VC’s Office will remain open each day. However, support services are by appointment only.

Facilities & Auxiliary Services will continue to operate with a predominantly onsite presence. However, all in-person transactions will be restricted to scheduled appointments only.
