A New Lens for Viewing Behavioral Challenges in Children

Have you ever found yourself wondering what to do about correcting a childʻs challenging behavior? Hear from Dr. Mona Delahooke, Ph.D, who will introduce a new approach to solving childrenʻs behavioral challenges. Dr. Delahooke is the guest presenter for the Kaiāulu Webinar: A New Lens for Viewing Behavioral Challenges in Children, on Tuesday, September 1, at 2:00 p.m. Simply register at http://go.hawaii.edu/ATp. Dr. Delahooke will describe behaviors as the tip of the iceberg, important signals that should be addressed by seeking to understand a childʻs individual differences in the overarching context of relational safety. She will also focus on building a childʻs foundation for emotional and behavioral control and moving beyond paradigms that focus on compliance and surface behaviors.

Mona M. Delahooke, Ph.D is a clinical child psychologist with a passion for supporting families and children. She has worked widely with multi-disciplinary teams in the area of developmental and emotional differences for over 30 years. She is a senior faculty member of the Profectum Foundation and is a trainer and consultant to schools, public/private agencies and parents.
