Congratulations to our most recent hire, English instructor Alex Salinas-Nakanishi, who was selected as the winner of the 2017 Florida Campus Compact Award in the Engaged Scholarship Faculty Award Sector. Alex comes to us from Miami Dade college and started with KCC last month!

New Commissioner, Sally Pestana!
Congratulations to Sally Pestana, who has been elected to a 3-year term as a new Commissioner for our college accreditor, ACCJC (Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges). Her term starts November 1. She will be one of nineteen commissioners that serve our region that includes California, Hawaii and the Pacific. Congratulations Sally!
Department Chair/Unit Head evaluations open now
The annual DC/Unit Head evaluation survey will run from April 5 to April 21.
Each Dept Chair/Unit head should have forwarded to department members, a URL that links to your DC/Unit head evaluation.
Access to the surveys will end at 4:30 pm on April 21.
Results will be sent directly to the D.C./Unit head who should meet with their program administrator to discuss the results.
