“Kīpaipai” means to inspire; which gives our lecture series its name. The Kapiʻolani Community College Kīpaipai Career and Transfer Series will encompass Native Hawaiian professionals with a knowledge of History, Communications, Political Science, and Cultural Research. Their expertise and knowledge will inspire students to believe in their academic journey and become the leading professionals in Hawaiʻi’s workforce. Na ka Hawaiʻi, no ka Hawaiʻi. Kamaka Pili is a Weather Anchor/Reporter for KHON-TV. Kamaka attained his Bachelorʻs degree in Political Science from the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.

The event will be held in the Lama Library Study Hub at Kapiʻolani Community College on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm.
