Last Day to Apply for Your 2022-2023 H5P + Laulima License

Are you looking for more ways to add active learning to your online/hybrid classes? H5P + Laulima facilitates fun and engaging formative assessments that are easily embeddable in Laulima Lessons pages, and also incentivizes student participation by automatically linking H5P to the Laulima Gradebook. The UH Online Innovation Center just wrapped up a successful year of 50+ pilot licenses in 2021-2022 and will be expanding the program by 50 more licenses for 2022-2023. Feedback has been pretty unanimous – both faculty and students LOVE H5P!

Please log in NOW and make sure that there is a survey for each CRN that you are currently teaching, and also check the student roster for accuracy. Create a detailed plan for active learning that aligns with the course learning outcomes. This module will prepare you for the next step of creating an online/hybrid class in TOPP Building an Online Classroom. No prerequisites.


✮ TOPP Module 3: BUILDING AN ONLINE CLASSROOM

June 6-July 1, 2022 (4 Weeks) | Online Asynchronous
Build an online/hybrid classroom in Laulima with guidance from the facilitators and peers. Must have completed TOPP Course Planning for Active Learning or have completed a Course Map.

July 11-August 5, 2022 (4 Weeks) | Online Synchronous (1x/week) & Asynchronous
How would you apply the digital accessibility rules in your Laulima sites, Word, PDFs, and other resources you provide to your students? Join a supportive community to collaboratively revise your digital resources to meet ADA accessibility requirements. This module is entirely online and will include one synchronous online meeting each Monday morning. We recommend selecting one of the courses that you teach, to remediate/practice on during this PD, as we will be collectively applying different ADA rules each week.

❶ Eligibility for the stipends: Any 9-month Kapi‘olani faculty/lecturer, NOT teaching during Summer Session I or II, whichever does not overlap with the TOPP module(s).
❷ Total stipend amount for each person may not exceed $600.
❸ Each module has a limited number of seats. Although the program is open to faculty from any UH campus, priority will be given to Kapi‘olani CC faculty.
