Registration for the 2022 Excellence in Education (EIE) Day is now open to all University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges’ faculty, staff and administrators. The 2022 EIE Day will be held on March 4, 2022 via Zoom. This year’s theme, Mālama Kekahi i Kekahi (taking care of our students, each other, and ourselves) reflects the UHCC’s ongoing commitment to student and employee success and wellness. Participants will engage in best practices, innovations, and strategies.
The day will continue with campus-specific afternoon activities. At Kapi‘olani, join us for the Mission Building Summit via Zoom on Friday, March 4th from 1-3 p.m. via Zoom. Please provide input to the Bigger Ideas Consider. It Board by Wednesday, March 2nd.
As Chancellor Pagotto said, “because it guides all that we do, there is no more important document than our mission statement. I strongly encourage you to join in this important dialogue.” Interactive breakout rooms and polling will be used to draft a mission statement that will be shared with campus Authorized Governance Organizations (AGO) for their input before the Chancellor’s Advisory Council (CAC) votes on our finalized version to be submitted to the Board of Regents.
To prepare for the afternoon event:
- Provide input to the Bigger Ideas Consider. It Board by Wednesday, March 2nd. Please log in to participate, and feel free to use a pseudonym. If you need help getting started, reach out to Kara (karapw@hawaii.edu).
- Review and add comments from your Convocation Conversations if you like!
No time? A meta-analysis of both will be provided on March 4th. Please share this invitation to participate widely. And thank you for sharing your insights and engaging in this participatory process!
