HMSA Online Health Education Workshops

HMSA is offering Online Health Education Workshops on various topics. Workshops are Webex classes that teach about nutrition, stress management, and other aspects of health and well-being.

Note: Participation is voluntary and open to all KapCC employees (including student employees), regardless of health plan affiliation.

Online Workshop Topics:

  • Preventive Care: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. In this workshop, learn the benefits of seeing your doctor for screenings. Plus, learn which screenings may be right for you and get inspired to improve your overall health.

  • 808 Trail-Ready: Hiking is a great way to get exercise, destress, and enjoy Hawaii’s natural beauty. But it can also be dangerous if you don’t take proper precautions. Before you lace up to hit the trails, attend this HMSA workshop to get helpful tips such as What to wear, What gear to pack, Which local trails you can explore safely, and more! You’ll also learn about how to avoid common mistakes that could lead to rescue situations.

  • Stress Bucket: Each of us has a certain amount of stress that we can manage before our stress bucket overflows. Knowing how to drain stress is important to prevent high blood pressure, anxiety, and other conditions. Join us to learn practical, enjoyable ways to remove some stress from your bucket.

How it works:

  •  For date and time for each workshop and to register, please click HERE

    • Registration limit: 50 participants

  • Once your registration is confirmed, you will receive a calendar invite with a Webex invitation with instructions on how to join.

  • The workshop is approximately 35 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of Q&A.

If you are not able to attend or the registration has reached the limit of 50 participants, please reach out to us at kapcchr@hawaii.edu.
