2022 COVID Vaccination and Flu Shot Clinic Survey

The KapCC HR Department, in partnership with the Times Pharmacy, is planning to have a 2022 Vaccine Clinic , administering the COVID-19 and Flu vaccines on the dates provided below.

COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic:

  • Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Flu Shot Clinic:

  • Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
  • Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

The vaccine clinic will be open to all faculty, staff, and students. Additional details and room information will be made available as we are closer to the event. As part of our planning and due to the uncertainty brought on by the COVID-19 situation, we would also like to learn where our campus stands on attending a Kapiolani CC Vaccine Clinic event with a short, anonymous survey.

We will be running this survey until July 25, 2022, and will use these responses as a basis for our planning. Please help us by participating in this survey, whether you are interested in attending the flu shot clinic or not.

Regardless of any campus policies that may be in place at the time of the Vaccine Clinic, Times Pharmacy has its own policies and will only administer the flu vaccine to participants wearing a face mask and after a temperature check.

For questions, please email us at kapcchr@hawaii.edu

Looking for an opportunity to volunteer?

First of all, Mahalo to all who have already signed up to facilitate a session. We really appreciate it!

We have 9 more slots looking for facilitators, and would greatly appreciate your kōkua in helping to assist as a zoom facilitator during one (or more!) of this year’s 2022 Kapiʻolani Summer Camp sessions – ranging from shorter, 30-minute open swim presentations, to longer, 70-minute group excursion sessions. This year we will not be recording sessions, which means no recording kuleana for facilitators.

If you’re interested, please:

  • Sign-Up Here ASAP. Place your name + email on the session(s) of your choice.

You don’t need to be a Zoom expert to support Summer Camp! This year we’re looking for one facilitator per session.

We will provide a Q&A training session via Zoom (July 25th, at 1 PM), and record the session and send it out to facilitator volunteers. Additional training sessions can be scheduled upon request.

Erica Dias (ecalistr@hawaii.edu), Allyson Ota (allyson@hawaii.edu) or the Summer Camp mailbox (SumrCamp@hawaii.edu).

Don’t have a Kapiʻolani kīhei?

Pre-order Kapiʻolani kīhei – $10.50, email kapulani@hawaii.edu. Pre-order due August 2, 2022

At an Oli workshop in the fall semester, ʻAha Kalāualani will offer to silkscreen a Manu o Kū design on the front of your Kapiʻolani kīhei.

Pickup Kapiʻolani kīhei: August 17, 2022, 6:30-6:55am

A kīhei is a traditional Hawaiian garment worn during Hawaiian protocol and ceremony. For Kapiʻolani, we wear the Kapiʻolani kīhei to unify our college in honoring the ʻāina we stand on and guide the way in which we speak and act.

There are protocols when wearing and maintaining a kīhei. The Kapiʻolani kīhei will be knotted on the left shoulder of the wearer. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Kapiʻolani kīhei should be neatly folded and stored in a bag or hung in an appropriate place for future use.
