Excellence in ONLINE Teaching Award (EOTA) 2021/22

We hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving! We are very thankful for the wonderful nominations that have come in for the 2021/22 VCAA Excellence in Online Teaching Award (EOTA). This award recognizes outstanding educators who teach online courses at Kapi‘olani Community College.

This Fall’s nomination form will be open until the end of this week. You may nominate any faculty member who has taught at least one online class at Kapi‘olani CC in the previous or current year and exhibits an extraordinary level of online teaching effectiveness, exceptional course design and creativity, and regular and substantive interaction that benefits students.

Please submit your nominations via this Google Form! Individuals must receive at least three independent nominations from a current Kapi‘olani CC student, colleague, or community member to be considered for the award. The Fall nominations will close on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Mahalo!

Excellence in ONLINE Teaching Award (EOTA) 2021/22

We are excited to see the nominations for the 2021/22 VCAA Excellence in Online Teaching Award (EOTA) coming in. Thank you so much for nominating so many deserving individuals. 

We know it has been a tough year for all of us, and teaching & learning online can be very challenging. So if you had the chance to take an online class at KapCC with a teacher that made online learning engaging and fun, providing you with valuable resources and the support you need to succeed, then consider nominating this individual for the EOTA. This award recognizes outstanding educators who teach online courses at Kapi‘olani Community College.

You may nominate any faculty member who has taught at least one online class at Kapi‘olani CC in the previous or current year and exhibits an extraordinary level of online teaching effectiveness, exceptional course design and creativity, and regular and substantive interaction that benefits students.
