Excellence in ONLINE Teaching Award (EOTA) 2021/22

We are excited to see the nominations for the 2021/22 VCAA Excellence in Online Teaching Award (EOTA) coming in. Thank you so much for nominating so many deserving individuals.

We know it has been a tough year for all of us, and teaching & learning online can be very challenging. So if you had the chance to take an online class at KapCC with a teacher that made online learning engaging and fun, providing you with valuable resources and the support you need to succeed, then consider nominating this individual for the EOTA. This award recognizes outstanding educators who teach online courses at Kapi‘olani Community College.

You may nominate any faculty member who has taught at least one online class at Kapi‘olani CC in the previous or current year and exhibits an extraordinary level of online teaching effectiveness, exceptional course design and creativity, and regular and substantive interaction that benefits students.

Please submit your nominations via this Google Form! Individuals must receive at least three independent nominations from a current Kapi‘olani CC student, colleague, or community member to be considered for the award. Nominations will close on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Thank you for your nominations.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Responding to the challenges of the global pandemic created opportunities and a need to innovate learning. What have we learned? What’s in our future for virtual learning? How do we support learners and educators?

TCC Hawaii invites faculty, support professionals, librarians, counselors, student affairs professionals, graduate students, administrators, and consultants interested in emerging learning technologies and practices to submit proposals for online presentations.

Conference theme

The TCC 2021 Online Conference invites proposals for presentations and papers relevant to emerging technologies, transforming learning, and virtual learning.

Conference coordinators are interested in examples of appropriate, innovative, and sustainable instructional delivery that have evolved out of the coronavirus pandemic; what we’ve learned, and what lies ahead to innovate learning.

The coordinators are also interested in building our community of colleagues. We encourage other interactive formats such as panel presentations and discussion, interactive workshops, educational technology tool demos, and forming special interest groups.
