✨Intro to Google Slides (Tue. 6/8)

Do your students need to use Google Docs, Slides, Drive, Mail and Search to succeed in your program? The Library is running hands-on Zoom sessions to introduce students to basic features. Students will have lots of time to practice and ask questions during the sessions and if they need more time to practice, we can arrange additional sessions.

Google Slides  5:30-7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 8, 2021

    • Templates, themes, font.
    • Transitions and animations.
    • Add images, animations, and videos.
    • Collaborate/share, presenting, printing, and publishing to the web.

Please forward this to your students. If any student is unable to make it to these times, please ask them to contact joy.oehlers@hawaii.edu to arrange a suitable time.

    • Format your paper (page numbers, margins, spacing), add images and web links.
    • Share documents with other students, insert comments, and view revisions.
    • Download and then upload to Laulima.

  • Google Drive & Gmail: 5:30-7:00 pm, Tu 6/1 & Th 6/10

    • Manage files and folders, shared settings.
    • Find documents in your drive, shared drive, and Gmail.
    • Check your account activity to see if anyone has hacked your Gmail.
    • Gmail etiquette if you want to get a response from your professor.
    • Undo send, organize messages, and add attachments.

Textbooks on Reserve @ Lama Library

Textbooks for most courses are now available for 2-hour (renewable and may be taken out of the Library) or 7-day loan at the Lama Library. Inquire at the Circulation Desk, or let us know if you have any questions.

Instructors: if you have a spare copy of your textbook, please consider putting it on Reserves. Students: If your book or your financial aid hasn’t arrived yet or you just want to check out what the course is about, please use the textbooks on Reserves@Lama Library.
